BUDGETING
Timberline uses our comprehensive database of current construction costs coupled with subcontractor pricing input to deliver timely and accurate budgets.
Budgeting
Proper forecasting and controlling of costs on a project is one of the most important aspects to a successful outcome. Timberline begins by establishing an initial target budget, monitoring the project costs during the preconstruction period, and controlling costs during the construction process. Understanding the project goals, collaboration with the stakeholders, detailed quantity take-offs, obtaining subcontractor pricing/input, and analysing historical estimating data are all essential elements to a successful budgeting process.
Timberline does not outsource the role of estimating. As a builder, we pride ourselves on maintaining in-house resources to provide detailed line item estimates for the entire scope of work. We have been building in Southern California for more than 30 years. This extensive experience has allowed us to develop and maintain a comprehensive database of construction costs that is current and accurate. In addition, we solicit information from outside vendors and subcontractors to validate the cost of work since they are experts in their trade and have intimate knowledge of specific costs.
